Of course! It's Chinese food restaurant!
Yes in China town, small lot, with double parking of notified at the front desk licenses plates
Love this restaurant. Go there dim sum anytime I'm in Seattle. I usually go at noon.
We have been to couple of Dim Sum places in Seattle but never been to this one. We decided this past weekend to give it a shot. It’s pretty big and clean inside and employees are pretty friendly. We like the environment there and not as noisy like most other dim sum places. Food was good and they constantly coming back to your table ask if we need anything else. I highly recommend it.
We always come here for Chinese food. This place has good dim sum. They are known for their fresh seafood in the tank - King and Dungeness crabs, and spotted shrimps. I recently had their Hot 'n Sour soup, which isn't too spicy. I LOVE their Garlic Green Beans. They are always crunchy and generous with their fresh chopped garlic. I had gone into their bar and their bartenders are friendly. The regular patrons there are friendly and seems to welcome everyone who is new. A MUST TRY!
Great food ! Every year family birthday gatherings! Great space !
Wide selection of standard Chinese food with amazing service.
Good authentic Chinese cuisine. Good service with reasonable price.
It is medium to low quality of the dim sum. Also, a little bit overly priced.Place is nicely clean and a nice parking.
Best place for no frills dim sum in China town for large work parties over 10. They do have duck on their menu, and a wide variety of other favorites. And a full service bar. And that's great for work lunches.
Great food. Nice customer service.
Very decent Chinese food. Good for dim sum. The place is newer looking and they have their own parking. A lot of Asians eating here, so that is a good sign.
I've been here twice, once for dim sum brunch which was out of this world and another for dinner on Christmas eve. The food is ridiculously good. I had some Chinese broccoli and honey walnut prawns. And the fried rice had lettuce in it .... i was not expecting that. I was also not expecting stir fries lettuce to make the fried rice so tasty! Service is a little slow but you won't care.
Exceptionally friendly staff with decent food. I've never had to wait to be seated for a weekend lunch, so if you're looking for some quick and good dim sum this is the place to go.
Traditional dim sum lunch with old friends. Pick your meal from a wheeled cart they bring to each table. Lots of delicious.
A good dim sum restaurant with good regular dishes. Nothing extraordinary in terms of taste or diversity of dishes, but prices are reasonable. Given the huge population of Asians, I expected better, so I probably wouldn't come here again. Service was ok as well. The parking lot is small, but I've come to understand that's normal in Seattle.
Food awful, over priced and employees yelling at one another in front of customers. Very loud and lasted 15 minutes yelling at each other across the restaurant.
This is one of the better Cantonese dim sum restaurant in China town area, with decent food, reasonable price, and fast service. A lot of elder Cantonese people living nearby seem to go here for dim sum on daily basis, which is a good indication about the overall quality of this place.
It’s like being transported to Hong Kong!! Food is tasty and there are plenty of locals who I always see here. Clean, fast, good prices, what more can you ask for?!
Honestly just some solid dim sum, not much to say
Great dim sum meal
First time there was on Christmas day. The place was full. I have never been there and neither had the rest of the people in my group. It was a great experience. The staff walk around with heated carts of different food. So many great options. I didn't see any menus but I am sure they have them. However the carts with different food was plenty.
Are is here my opinion as a chef, Asian fusion , French and American cuisines. This place is better than I thought. I thought it would be more Americanized. So, I ordered mostly traditional Chinese dishes. All the dishes we ordered were good with the exception of the scallion Oyster. The oyster breading was too much and over cooked. Also it was way too much white onion and didn’t taste the actual oyster. The black chicken soup is quite good with good flavor. The steam claim with ginger was cooked just right, tender and very favorable. The deep fry pigeon was ok, good taste. I also ordered garlic steam Dungeness crab. It was done perfectly. I can’t comment Americanized dishes since I don’t usually order those. I like to stick to traditional Italian, French, Asian cuisine. The service was very good and very attentive. Price wise, well I ordered quite a lots of seafood so the tab was a bit higher than normal. Overall, I think it is between $$ - $$$. I will definitely come again.
Dim Sum Yum! Don't keep wondering or driving around, the parking is on site, service is prompt, food is amazing!! It's a little pricey but worth it! Clean and with ample seating. We were stopping in between appointments and this was a perfect delicious site and you can always tell when there's a lot of Chinese people, it's a trusted tasty place ;).
Nice, clean. Food is good.We ordered variety. Beef Brisket Hot Pot, Seafood Chow Mein, House Fried Rice. Salt pepper Chicken Wings, Walnut Honey Shrimp, vegetable Pea Pod
I thoroughly enjoyed this place. Back in the day, this place was called Sun Ya. It is changed ownership twice now, the most recent as of June 2nd 2019. Irregardless of how many times that has changed hands, the food is still the same, delicious. Like my Tulalip Resort and Casino post, I have posted their entire menu, even their dim sum menu so that should make it easier for you to decide what you would like in advance to traveling to dine at this restaurant. Enjoy yourselves, I have for the last 30 years!
Great for family reunions meal since many unique menu items are available
This is by far the BEST dim sum. They open 9am dim sum for breakfast is yummy. The shrimp pops in your mouth.
The food is always hot and fresh. I come from 20 miles to get their dim sum. Sooo good
The wife and I met friends there for lunch on Saturday. There was a huge selection of dim sum and the staff was readily available and attentive. Hot tea was also served. Overall, a good meal that was reasonably priced.
Solid dim sum place. We’ve been going here for years. It’s no Din Thai Fung but hits the spot when you need some quick tasty dim sum. Don’t bother parking on the street. Pull into the busy parking lot and the guy will double park you if necessary. Just keep your eye on the kitchen so you can catch the hot stuff as it comes out instead of having to eat stuff that may have been on the cart a while.
Ocean Star has a great selection of Chinese food. I like the dim sum and the crispy pork chop. They have free but limited parking out front so check it first before paying for expensive street parking. The staff is very attentive, but at time can be inconsiderate as they vacuum literally at your feet as you dine.
We have been coming here for over almost two decades. However, it used to be SunYa when we came. Food is still amazing. 💖
Terrible restaurant. We used to eat there when it was Sun Ya and it was better then. Under new management prices are higher, service is terrible, food is mediocre. But the worst thing is the owner allowed other vehicles to block us in so we couldn’t get out after having a large meal for 4 people and leaving a great tip. We were detained for at least 20 minutes trying to leave. Won’t ever go back.
food are very good.
Old school Chinese, with its own parking lot, a big deal in this area. They have tons of live seafood, including delicious king crab (call ahead), and some things like squab which aren't common here. I had a great experience, and only wish I'd come years ago. I hope they survive the current era of aggressive development in the neighborhood, but urge you to enjoy it now.
Authentic Chinese restaurant, as it should, being in the heart of Seattle's International District. Extensive menu that even includes dimsum outside of the"normal" lunch hour.Definitely earns a spot in your authentic restaurants rotation list 😋 in downtown Seattle. Excellent for groups, free parking in their own private lot (it's not that big though), paid street parking otherwise. Excellent service. Moderately priced.
Service style was new to me but excellent. Carts of steaming dim sum and fresh seafood dishes. We had an array of food in front of us, piping hot and very delicious!
My family and I have eaten and ordered food as take-out for a while now, but they forgot to include a shrimp fried rice to our order and overcharged us. We didn’t realize we were missing the order until we got home, and we called this restaurant but they were in such a hurry to close and hung up on us, so we couldn’t resolve the issue. Really disappointed because we came back from a short trip and we were welcomed with this.
Great seafood. The steam fish in soya sauce was especially tasty.
We stumbled upon this delightful place after a really disappointing 30 minute wait, no service at a restaurant that had come highly recommended. And let me tell you, this place did not disappoint. Quick service, very hospitable staff, extremely well-maintained, comfy decor, and fantastic portion sizes. As soon as we took the first bite, no one came up for air until we were all done. The food was excellent and very satisfying. This is definitely a place I will be going back to when I'm in the area.
We came for the normal entrees, not the dim sum. We got the roast duck, pigeon, lobster, fried rice, and a few other odds & ends. It wasn't bad - flavor was subtle in a lot of the dishes, huge portions. Meat tasted pretty fresh. I guess none of the dishes really stood out to me like I would've hoped, but all in all it wasn't bad. Their bread dessert was interesting, a fluffy brown bread that tastes a bit like a marshmallow.
A must visit when you are in Seattle. The food is good, fresh there is fresh and live sea crabs and other variety. Plenty of parking, it’s located in china district in Seattle. We eat black bean grab, shrimp fry rice, and vegetables it was delicious.
Very good food friendly and very helpful
Great dim sum place in ID. Those pineapple buns are life...
Ordered to go on the phone and was greeted as soon as I walked in. Food tasted good, price was reasonable, had small and full portion options. They have their own parking lot with is great!
Excellent yummy well seasoned seafood..we had dim sum, walnut shrimp, calamari, tea, and noodles..after tip it was about $42 . Not bad at all....looking forward to going back again soon....I give it 5 stars... hot and delicious⛄⛄⛄⛄
The honey walnut prawns are absolutely amazing, the rest of the food was also extremely good but those specifically are like 30/10
They have parking. Big windows however dim sum was fairLocation wise it is not at the Main Street like Jackson. However, if you drive it has a relatively large parking right by the building.Comfortable seating and friendly staffs. Didn’t take long to get the table. Hot dim sum carts go around from table to table. You pick variety dim sum off from the carts. Great experience as the traditional dim sum breakfast. Give it a try
Always been the best, I have been going here for 40 years.
Great dim sum. I like that they have parking.
The old Sunya. For my family, this is one of the best Dimsum in town. There is also parking available which is a great plus for the ID.
Great dim sum, good prices, prompt service and lots of seating.
